libfreehdl0-dev software package provides VHDL simulator for Linux (development headers), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfreehdl0-dev
libfreehdl0-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfreehdl0-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfreehdl0-dev *
You will get with libfreehdl0-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
